Dating to circa 1820, an adorable little antique brooch in the form of a flower, a locket centre with the original mauve foil still inside (incredible) with a frame of miniature natural Seed Pearls, these surrounded by hand faceted purple Pastes in imitation of Amethyst. Just delightful.
Such pieces are often sentimental, being gifted by loved ones and this would explain her preservation down the many generations since that time. Hand crafted in Gold, the whole measures 20mm across by 19mm, and closes with a simple pin and 'C' clasp with an additional ring so that she can be worn as a pendant.
